Our journey
In December 2017, brothers Bright and Gerald Mabureza co-founded a company called High Density Warehouse (Pvt) Ltd. Immediately, the company signed a franchise agreement with Open House Hardware Centre and opened its first store at Makoni Shopping Centre on 8 February 2018 which traded under the Open House Hardware Express brand. The Company traded in tools, paints, plumbing and general hardware products and services. The company started with 3 employees and 1 staff member seconded by Open House Hardware Centre.
In October 2018, the company opened its second store, again at Makoni Shopping Centre as an opportunity for a bigger store space had arisen. A third store in Mutoko then followed in March 2021. Throughout the remainder of 2021 the company focused on growing their product range and services.
The Company decided to exit the Open House Hardware Express franchise on 1 April 2021 as it felt it was time to pursue its own vision. This is when the brand Builders Market was born.
